How the rewards actually work
Account credit by default. Cash or gift-card only after your first cleared cycle.
The base user reward is currently configured at $50 per referral, capped by the plan the referred user activates on: $10 for Free, $25 for Sprint, $50 for Pro, $75 for Max. Nothing pays until paid activation plus a 30-day review window has closed. Cleared rewards land as RoleWorth account credit on your balance. Cash and gift-card payouts are not automatic: they are queued via Stripe Connect transfer or a manual payout step, and only after your first cycle has fully cleared. We keep the review window because a referral program that pays spam dies fast, and we hard-block self-referral so honest users do not subsidize fraud.

When do rewards clear?
Rewards move through three states: pending after a referred signup, in review after the referred account pays and uses the product, and cleared only after a 30-day refund and abuse review window closes. Pending and in review are not paid balances and are not guaranteed to clear.
Will I be paid in cash, a gift card, or account credit?
Cleared rewards default to RoleWorth account credit. Account credit posts to your balance automatically once the review window closes. Cash and gift-card payouts are not automatic: they are queued and require a Stripe Connect transfer or a manual payout step, and they are only available after your first referral has fully cleared the review window. Larger or repeated payouts may take additional review.
What are the reward caps?
Caps depend on the plan the referred user activates on. Under current defaults: Free $10, Sprint $25, Pro $50, Max $75. The base user reward is currently configured at $50, capped by the referred plan. Caps and amounts are environment-configurable and may change.
What counts as activation?
Activation means the referred user reached a paid tier and used the product, for example by scoring a real job or generating an application package. Free signups do not move a reward to review. The 30-day review clock starts from paid activation, not from signup.
Can I refer myself?
No. Self-referral is hard-blocked at the application layer. Matching IP addresses, device fingerprints, payment methods, and other shared identifiers raise a risk score on the referral. A risk score of 60 or higher forces the referral into manual review before any reward clears, and confirmed self-referrals are removed.
What is the partner commission rate?
Approved partners earn a 25% commission on referred paid revenue under the current defaults, plus a one-time bounty on the first cleared payment. Partner rates are environment-configurable. Partner economics apply only after a coach or resume writer applies and is approved.
Can career coaches join?
Yes, through the partner path. Coaches and resume writers must apply and be approved before partner-grade commission, attribution windows, and disclosure terms apply. Apply via partners [at] roleworth.com.
