New Job Scan
New Job Scan is the single-role workflow. Use it when you are deciding whether one specific posting deserves your time. It is usually the best first action for beginners because it keeps the question narrow: should I apply, hold, or skip?
The page has three jobs:
1. New Score creates the go/no-go decision. Paste the posting URL or job description, then review the Worth Score, factor breakdown, and recommendation. Do this before tailoring a resume or writing a cover note. 2. Resume Match checks whether your current resume clearly covers the posting. Use it when the role is promising but the score suggests your evidence is weak or hidden. 3. Job Liveness checks whether the posting appears current enough to justify effort. Use it when a role looks old, reposted, unusually vague, or unusually urgent.
For best results, paste the full job description, including requirements, responsibilities, location, compensation, seniority, and company context. If you only provide a short summary, RoleWorth can still evaluate the role, but the decision may be less precise.
Read the decision before acting. Apply means the role appears worth a reviewed application package. Maybe means the role has promise but needs more proof, better timing, or a manual check. Skip means the expected return does not justify more effort right now.
New Job Scan does not bypass review. It prepares the decision layer. Any application materials or submission-related steps should still pass through the Application Kit and approval flow.
